An aerial view of our Cambridge premises
We recently took advantage of a sunny winter's day to take some aerial photographs of our stonemasonry yard, showrooms and workshops at 615 Newmarket Road, Cambridge.
We have occupied this site since 1903, having been founded in Cambridge in 1896 and first located in Regent Street, then Mill Road.
Our company has developed over the years into a comprehensive stonemasonry yard, with dedicated equipment and facilities for creating stone fireplaces, memorial stones, granite worktops, and all forms of architectural stonemasonry.
New lorry in action at prestigious school
We have recently invested in a brand new lorry, complete with tail-mounted hydraulic crane. Primarily used for our dedicated memorial division, this vehicle has already proved more than useful for other aspects of our business.
Over the Christmas period our lorry was used on a prestigious stonemasonry project at The Leys School in Cambridge.

With a definite chill in the air this morning and temperatures forecast to drop further next week, winter finally seems to be arriving.

Hot new Clearview Stoves now on display!
This week may have seen some of the hottest weather of the summer so far, but at Ivett & Reed we decided to turn up the heat by firing up our new Clearview Stoves display in our Cambridge showroom.
The installation of our display models is underway, including the beautiful Clearview Vision 500 in Honey Glow Brown.
The first 5 Clearview Stoves are now in position, raised up on an Ancaster Weatherbed limestone shelf to allow clients to easily view the quality workmanship of these British-made stoves.
Granite worktop installation gallery updated
Late spring and early summer is a popular time to have a new kitchen fitted, and we have recently completed some interesting granite worktop installations for private clients and kitchen studios.
Our friends at Baker and Baker in Clare, Suffolk have provided us with some great images of recent installations where they have combined their hand crafted cabinetry with our bespoke stone surfaces to stunning effect.
Plaque created to mark Royal Wedding
To mark the Royal Wedding on 29 April 2011, we were asked by Fen Ditton Parish Council to create a plaque in Black Granite with cut and painted white lettering.
The plaque was dedicated by the parish vicar, Rev. Michael Bowers, in a ceremony which took place during celebrations attended by hundreds of villagers.
We were delighted to play a part in a local celebration to mark the marriage of the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
