Our Workshop

At our large workshops and yard in Cambridge, we combine traditional stonemasonry skills with the latest stone fabrication technology to offer a quality of service and finish to your project which is second to none in the Eastern region.

Our state-of-the-art machinery includes our latest piece of kit, a CMS Formax Jet. This combines a 5-axis bridge saw with the Tecnocut water jet system which can be used to precisely cut all natural and engineered stones, and is particularly adept at small kerf cuts, mitred edges and internal corners. We have particularly invested in this waterjet technology to cut sintered stone products such as Dekton, Lapitec and Neolith, which continue to increase in popularity on the market.

For cutting and fabricating stone surfaces, we also have two GMM Tecna 36 bridge saws, a Thibaut T108 L manual multi-function processing machine, Marmo Mecannica LCV 711 edge polisher and a CMS Brembana Speed 3 CNC machine.

Unlike many stone manufacturers who can fabricate worktop materials only, we also continue to run a traditional masonry workshop, where our stonemasons hand carve and finish our stone fireplace designs and architectural stonemasonry.

We also have a dedicated memorial workshop, which combines traditional hand lettering and finishing with the latest sandblasting technology to produce the best possible quality of finish on our range of memorials and plaques.

I found Ivett and Reed a really fantastic and professional organisation. Their staff helped me understand all the issues and came up with some great solutions, far exceeding my expectations. (Google 5 star review)
