The Tundra

This bespoke fireplace design demonstrates some of the signiciant advantantages of sintered stone. Due to its incredible resistance to heat, both the face of the mantel and the hearth have been cut in one piece, where joints would normally be required in natural stone to prevent cracking. Light coloured natural stones are not normally recommended for use with a solid fuel appliance due to the risk of staining from ash and soot, but the easy maintenance of sintered products such as the Dekton used here makes it an ideal choice as a hearth material.

The Tundra fireplace is cut, finished and assembled in our Cambridge workshops, skilfully combining renowned materials with traditional craftsmanship.
